IAN SAUNDERS

I’m Ian Saunders, a photographer and visual storyteller specializing in toy photography, world-building, and atmospheric imagery. My work blends cinematic lighting, practical effects, and a love for pop-culture mythos to create scenes that feel alive, emotional, and immersive. My photos have been published in Toytography Magazine and Legions Magazine, and I had the honor of shooting the official Mezco Toyz Agent Gomez ’75 product reveal—one of my favorite creative collaborations to date.

I’ve been interviewed on several community-focused shows, including Behind the Plastic, Between 2 Sentinels, and Toy Photography Best of the Month with Trevor Williams, where I’ve shared insights into my process, inspirations, and approach to crafting miniature worlds. Whether I’m shooting in the studio or out in the wild, my goal is always the same: to capture stories in a single frame and spark imagination through the smallest details.
